A.J. Fernandez and everyone at Diesel has been producing consistent, luxurious and powerful cigars for years so it should be no surprise when we hear that a new Limited Edition has hit the shelves. If you are familiar with Diesel’s Limited Edition runs you know that some of the finest cigars they have produced have come from these types of releases.
Taking an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, slap that on a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and fill it with a bunch of Nicaraguan long-leaf tobaccos and a few heavy ligeros to the mix you are presented with a complex, spicy and full body experience. Toted to produce roasted nuts, oak, nougat, leather and a light sweetness, the cigar has been awarded a 90 rating.
“Rolled in a near-black wrapper and rough cap, this toro has a substantial draw and fairly even burn. Toasty at first with notes of cereal, this cigar takes on the smoky, woody character of mesquite and hickory with unexpected bursts of dried, tropical fruit before the savory finish.”
